The role of the Office of Faculty Development is to assist, equip, and empower faculty as teachers, scholars, and practitioners. While the role of the office is entirely developmental, it is important to keep in mind that development ought to be aimed toward teaching, institutional service, and scholarship as defined by the policies of Messiah University. These are the standards by which chairs, deans, and ultimately, the Term Tenure and Promotion Committee of the university evaluate faculty performance.
