Profile

Dr. Jonathan Bert currently serves as the Senior Project Manager for Student Success at Credo, a higher education consulting firm that partners with institutions nationwide. He leads the team of project managers focused on Credo’s Moving the Needle initiative, designed to help colleges and universities increase their retention rates through targeted institutional improvements and interventions. He is passionate about higher education and is motivated to assist institutions in improving student success outcomes. Jonathan’s skills include project management, leadership, problem solving, technology, and complex systems thinking within a higher education context.

Prior to his role at Credo, Jonathan worked full-time at Messiah University for 12 years, most recently as the Director of Conference and Event Services. In this role, he oversaw room reservations, event planning, event tech support, the campus box office, the university receptionist, fleet vehicle use, student parking, summer housing, and space rentals. Jonathan was responsible for all logistics for commencement services as well as for a robust summer conference and camp program that was integral to the campus budget.

He taught undergraduate courses as an adjunct professor in interdisciplinary studies for three years while working at Messiah.

Jonathan received his Bachelor of Arts in Human Development & Family Science and his Masters in Higher Education (Student Affairs focus) from Messiah University. He earned his PhD in Administration and Leadership Studies from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
